Doug Raub
President and General Contractor
A native of Philadelphia, Doug grew up playing hockey and rooting for his beloved Flyers. After a storied college hockey career at the University of Dayton, where he graduated with a marketing/communication degree, Doug came to Los Angeles to fulfill his dream of working for an NHL team and spent a year with the Kings organization. He loved Southern California so much he stayed, but realized he wanted to take a different career path. He answered an ad in the Wall Street Journal and began working for a pool and hot tub company during the industry boom of the 1970s. In 1976, he started his own company called Rocky Mountain Tub Company. Soon his clients were asking him to do decking and other construction projects. With customers loving his work, the company evolved to general construction, and, in 1992, Douglas Raub Design and Development was established.
With three decades of construction experience, Doug loves creating customs homes from scratch, enjoying making the entire process from laying the foundation to completion expertly come together.
Still an avid hockey player, Doug, his family and Dudley, a Shepherd hound dog, live in Sherman Oaks, on a street where no fewer than six neighbors have had his firm construct their homes.

Christos Klapsis
Senior Project Manager
A native of Cliffside Park, New Jersey, Christos grew up on the job‐site with his father, a master mason. From a young age, he loved helping his father build people’s dreams. Days started with the smell of concrete and coffee, and ended with an appreciation of a hard day’s work. Christos learned the importance of earning respect through honesty, integrity and teamwork, while building positive relationships with coworkers and clients.
During the course of an illustrious college football career at Rowan University, Christos studied science for three years in pursing a chiropractic career, but was forced to leave school due to a serious knee injury. He went on to work on Wall Street, where he worked on the NASDAQ opening IPOs and was licensed as a Series 7 financial planner. His responsibilities included supervising and managing his client’s best interests, while nurturing strong relationships with attorneys and advisers. Working as a broker was financially rewarding, but it wasn’t as fulfilling as constructing and crafting the homes of happy customers.
Later, Christos followed his brother to California, where he rediscovered his passion for building. He worked as a project supervisor for exceptional, custom residential remodels, applying his strong communication, planning and execution skills to lead and manage the construction of successful, high-end custom homes.
Christos is married and lives in Santa Monica. He’s an avid mixed martial artist.
